Making progress...

It's been a while since I have posted, mainly because we have had ongoing issues with our roof trusses. This came about as the roof was being sheeted with osb and we found some spots where the trusses were not on plain. All of this has been resolved and all is well. However, it has thrown our construction into a bit of a tailspin. The brick layers were prepared to start so our carpenters got the work done that was needed for them to begin. Meanwhile, we had plumbers start roughing in and the walk thru with the electrician. I have spent the last week researching lighting options while trying to decide on LED versus incandescent for our recessed lights. I'm also trying to decide on basement lighting since I have a strong aversion to florescent lighting I'm trying to avoid the drop in light tiles that are most common. The problem is that there is a lot of additional work required to do recessed lights and I'm not sure how much that will cost. HVAC is supposed to start roughing in tomorrow and the electrician will start his rough in on Tuesday. Everything is hitting on all cylinders right now and it's a bit overwhelming.

Roughing crew is hard at work, this was yesterday and they were probably going to finish that same day (September 13th)
