Roof Trusses

Monday of this week they began raising the roof trusses. There was a problem with order and the design of the trusses. Apparently the floor plan called for a truss every 16" but their initial design had them at 24". Even after correcting this there were some problems. This has been the first major hurdle in the project since it has caused us extra time with the crane and therefore more money.

Framing completed

Last week was a busy week, it's amazing how quickly they can frame a house. Our carpenters have a 5 man crew that are doing a great job.

Basement slab and block work

Tuesday morning they poured our basement slab. It turned out very nice. Wednesday morning the block workers began laying foundation block, and seem to be progressing nicely.
